World rodeo championships underway

The 2003 Rodeo Worlds are underway in Graz, Austria. There’s a strong New Zealand contingent including Nick Wimsett, Ken Mutton, Andi O’Connell, Jarrod Meehan, Andrew Martin, Mark Eames, Karen Armstrong, Jo Lucas, Nikki Kelly, Lawrence Simpson and Jeremy Buchanan. The kiwis will be up against many of the best paddlers in the world, and will also have to contend with the feature hole (dubbed ‘Terminator III’) which Nick Wimsett reports has claimed 70 swimmers before the competition has even started.
