Waiau Gorge take-out blocked by owner

The Whitewater Canoe Club reports that the Marble Point access on the Waiau River (Canterbury) is no longer available. The new farm owner has put a new fence across the previous access down to the river. Even Thrillseekers are no longer able to use that access to get their rafts and clients out of the river.
If you are using that stretch of river it means having to go all the way down to Shark Fin rapid or the gravel pit take out.
